We'll hold your hands through the whole process
When it comes to choosing a photographer/videographer, the real game-changer is the personalized attention you'll get from us! We'll be there to guide you throughout the entire process from start to finish. Together, we'll plan every step from wardrobe to printing your artwork and everything in between. Don't hesitate to ask as many questions as you need—we'll make sure you feel totally comfortable and excited about your session! Happy clients = happy Simpsons.
01. do your homework
Start by researching creative professionals! Make sure their images/video work align with your vision. Look through galleries and portfolios, read reviews, and ask for recommendations from trusted friends and family.

02. make contact
Reach out to the photographer/videographer whose work just makes your heart soar! Send an email to inquire about their availability and services. Discuss your ideas/vision/goals and any other specific details about the session. Of course we hope you choose us! If so, here are your next steps...
03. "official booking"
Secure your appointment by signing an e-contract and paying the requested session fee deposit (ours is 20% for families, bands, & bands.) The contract will outline the terms and conditions of the shoot, including your project proposal of services, date, time, location, pricing, and usage rights for the images.
04. details!!
Let's talk details! Now that you're officially "in the books" we plan the details of the session. This includes discussing wardrobe/styling options, hair & makeup, props, and the overall concept for the shoot. (We also include a questionnaire email at this stage to get to know you even better.)
05. picture day :)
The big day is here and we can't wait to see you! If you are bringing little ones along, pack their favorite snacks- we're not above bribery lol! Arrive on time. The golden hour light (that we've based our consistent style around) window is not super long. Trust us, follow our direction & guidance, allow us to capture the best moments and expressions. Don't be afraid to play, get messy, & try new things! There is magic in letting kids be kids, pets be pets, and people be people... (We love that!)
06. culling & editing
After your session, we will go through all the images/video files, weeding out all the blinks, snots, mean mugs, and unflattering things no one wants to see. This is called "culling." Next we post a few previews online (a few days after our session)- we know you're excited and ready to share. Typically our editing process takes about 2 weeks for family/band/brand clients & 4 weeks for weddings. We LOVE enhancing your images and videos to bring out their full, beautiful potential.
07. the gallery
Check your inbox, because you have happy mail!! After editing is complete, you'll receive a link to view your gallery and download the images and/or video. These files are large so it might take some time, but we promise, it will be totally worth it! Feel free to share with friends, family, the world... and make sure to tag us @simpsonography so we can share and enjoy too. We told y'all, happy clients = happy Simpsons. ;)
08. prints & products
Photos are meant to be enjoyed in print form! Invest in fine art prints, canvases, & wood prints as wall art for your home. We work with one of THE top pro labs in the country to ensure archival quality prints that last for generations. Just click the shopping cart icon in your gallery to order. Let's work together to create a custom album for your coffee table. We design these in house and send off to the lab. Heirloom albums are beautiful and so sturdy they're practically kid-proof!
